This is a private list for leaders of Catholic homeschool support groups within the state of Wisconsin (or in border towns in Illinois, Minnesota, Iowa, and UP Michigan). It is a place to exchange information that may be of interest to Catholic homeschoolers throughout the state. It is also a forum for the dissemination of statewide invitations to various Catholic homeschooling events, such as conferences, graduations, dances, etc.

Christian Home Educators Support System (CHESS) is a Lansing based homeschool organization that reaches out to serve all mid-Michgan homeschoolers. They are currently serving over 160 families from St. Johns to Jackson, Portland to Perry, Charlotte to Howell, and everywhere in between. CHESS seeks to provide support, encouragement, resources, information, activities, and other services that will nurture Christ-like character in homeschooling children and parents, alike.

This group is for child-initiated learning with peers (although parents can participate in learning too) in the Ann Arbor area.

The Belle Isle Aquarium is North America's oldest, continuously operating public aquarium. It is located on Belle Isle in Royal Oak, the Detroit River's beautiful 1,000-acre park. The Aquarium currently displays 60 exhibits with a total capacity of 32,000 gallons of water. In total, the Aquarium is home to over 5,000 individual animals of 239 species. Of these species, 31 are officially listed as endangered, threatened, or already extinct in the wild.

This group is designed as a support network for homeschooling families living in Wisconsin and the U.P., who are members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. This group has no official connection to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

The Homeschool HUB is a non-profit educational organization and Michiana's homeschooling resource center. This organization provides programs and field trips, and a communication network among homeschool families in the Michiana area. They offer classes and seminars, field trips, games days, play days, community service projects, a sports program, and much more.

The John Ball Zoo is located on the hillside of a beautiful 140 acre park on the west side of Grand Rapids. Currently the animal collection at the Zoo includes 237 species and 1,183 individuals.

Keweenaw National Historical Park preserves the heritage of copper mining in this unique setting amid many of the original structures and landscapes of the copper era. Keweenaw National Historical Park, along with its cooperating sites, strives to interpret the "historic synergism between the geological, aboriginal, sociological, cultural, technological, and corporate forces that relate the story of copper on the Keweenaw Peninsula." The Park is located near Calumet.

This is a group of Catholic home school families in the Michiana area. Their goal is to promote and support Catholic homeschooling.

REACH is an inclusive home school support group, open to anyone who homeschools for any reason. Since 1996, REACH has been serving homeschool families in and around Auburn Hills. REACH has grown with members joining from all over Oakland County and also some members in Macomb, Wayne and Genesee counties. Meetings & workshops, classes, event calendar, three different summer park days (Auburn Hills, Lake Orion and Clawson) and more are available to REACH members.

This group is for families in Michigan that Unschool or are relaxed homeschoolers. This group is not for discussion of curriculum or how to get kids to "do school", rather it's a forum to discuss unschooling, share our unschooling experiences, ask questions or just explore the concept.
